25 May 2015. Nearly 500 people have died of sunstroke in India as the country's south struggles to survive through a major heat wave, the Hindustan Times newspaper reports. The highest temperature of around 48 degrees Celsius (118 degrees Fahrenheit) was recorded in the state of Telangana on Sunday, according to the Indian daily.
