19 May 2019. The share of India’s non-fossil fuel power generation technology continues to grow with the rapid rise in solar and wind energy capacity over the last few years. According to data released by India’s Central Electricity Authority and analyzed by CleanTechnica, the share of non-fossil fuel generation topped 22.2% in the financial year 2018-19 (April 2018 to March 2019). In India non-fossil fuel generation includes all renewable energy technologies, nuclear power, and large hydropower.

17 May 2019. Alphamin-Resources, the Mauritius-based miner kicked off construction at Bisie, considered one of the world’s highest-grade known tin deposits, in 2017. At the time, an updated feasibility study projected that the mine could produce 152,300 tonnes of tin over its 12-year life for an initial $126.1 million. It also estimated that Bisie would achieve payback in 17 months.

17 May 2019. An environmental review document for the proposed 11 GW Asian Renewable Energy Hub (AREH) in northwestern Australia has been made available for public comment. The document, which describes the solar+wind hybrid project and its likely effects on the environment, will remain open for review until June 24.
