21 October 2014. A huge blast has rocked a chemical factory in Donetsk in eastern Ukraine. The blast wave reportedly shattered windows in houses in a radius of several kilometers.

Local militia has said that the plant was targeted by a tactical Tochka-U missile (SS-21 Scarab) from government troops.A spokesperson for the Ukrainian military denied reports that the explosion was caused by one of its missiles, saying Kiev's forces had nothing to do with the incident.

The explosion occurred at a rubber processing factory used to create components for ammunition at the northwest of the city.
